Nitish Sahni
Hi, I'm Nitish, and I grew up in Gurgaon, India. My parents moved there in 2002, and both the city and I have come a long way since.
I had an incredible time studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Berkeley, and then spent a few wonderful years at SoFi.
What gives me the most happiness is building things that people find useful and enjoy using. Seeing how few Indians knew how to invest globally, I moved back to start Paasa with Sparsh. Luckily, Michael at Y Combinator believed in us enough to back us.
Today, Paasa is the simplest way for any Indian, wherever they live, to invest in any stock, ETF or currency around the world.
Perhaps because Sparsh is a designer and I'm an engineer, we have a builder-first mindset at Paasa, which I've come to realize is a fairly contrarian view in India's startup ecosystem. The belief we carry is to do three things well: build a great product, build a great team, and build a great business.
I enjoy having chai or coffee with family and friends, listening to my Bollywood playlist, or getting outdoors for a walk.
